Kaepernick ..... Tryout Edition

So Colin had 25 NFL teams and 2 coaches show up but he changed the location at the last second to a high school an hour away and sabatoged his own chances of exposure.

This was not a good move by Colin.

.
The Nike commercial must have paid well.

Most teams didn’t show up to Colin Kaepernick’s workout
According to multiple reporters on the scene, the majority of NFL teams chose not to attend the rescheduled workout, which Kaepernick had in front of the media and on camera at a local high school instead of behind closed doors at the Falcons’ facility.

The exact number of scouts who attended is not clear, but Jim Trotter of NFL Media reports that Kansas City, Philadelphia, Washington, San Francisco, the New York Jets and a couple of others were in attendance.

Kaepernick just pissed off whatever supporters he had left like JayZ and Hue Jackson. Imagine these 25 NFL scouts waiting who all traveled to see Kaepernick, and he bailed on them for another location 70 minutes away.

Bottom line the question of whether he'd be a distraction or a head case.... I think he torpedoed his own chances permanently....

.

Why is responding to lawsuits a sham? Should teams and the league have simply avoided the law suit, and done nothing?

Because this has nothing to do with a football player trying to find his way back into the NFL.

He’s a loser. How does this POSSIBLY help him if indeed he “wants to return to the League”.
This whole situation is bizarre : from his standpoint as well as the League’s.

His comment was that he wants it to be a “transparent and open process”. So the media and an independent film crew needed to be there. WTF?
He is unemployed and working out so he can get for a job. Transparent to who?
I think he duped the league into creating evidence in his next lawsuit. “Look say this workout. Now look at Sam darnold play. Clearly it’s about something other than ability”.
This reeks.

Was the Kunta Kinte shirt a statement that he feels like a slave?

I’ll say it again if you think this clown wants anything to do with football than look yourself in the mirror. Dudes a joke and has always been a fraud

For a group of people who hates the NFL leadership, we are all a little too forgiving of the NFL in this matter. Reports are that Jeff Pash, yes that Jeff Pash, drew up a waiver that Kap was supposed to sign that would absolve the NFL of all issues and waive his claim to any wrong doing by the NFL for EVERYTHING.

He did the right thing to skip this. The NFL is a shaddy business. Think about this. The same people that screwed over Brady and could not understand basic 8th grade physics, appeared to try to trick Kap into signing a form that would absolve the NFL of all things.

Why should the NFL have liability when showing up at a workout he invited them to?
Think about that. You are saying that if Kaepernick was injured in this sham event the NFL should owe him money?

I need to amend my comment after reading Florio. The NFL (PASH) wanted him to sign a waiver absolving them of collusion. This whole sham by Pash is starting to make more sense - they are slimy and even though I stand by my original assessment that CK is not good enough, I totally agree with his choice to do what he did today.

Now, he can sue them for collusion - especially if no one bothered to make the trip to his “new workout”.

Kunta Kinte career earnings: 0
Colin Kaepernick career earnings: 43,479,216

No no no. The guy clearly doesn't want a job in the NFL.

But to your subsidiary point, yes it's nice to watch two whores fight for the big dollar dance pole.

All teams employ some sort of talent/distraction ratio and they obviously all feel that his ratio is not high enough. It is not that complicated - a team would need to decide that the talent he brings to the team more than offset the media distraction that would ensue plus alienating a certain percentage of your fan base (ie: customers) If was he was a top talent I have no doubt that a team would have taken the initial PR hit and employed him as victories quickly offset any animus. Saying that he should have been on a team just because he is one of the 64 best QB's in the league is disingenuous. (plus who knows how much $ he wants)

Colin Kaepernick: We’re waiting for 32 owners and Roger Goodell to stop running

Read this (particularly the last sentence) and tell me Kaepernick hasn't gone completely 'round the bend buying into his own martyrdom;

“We’re waiting for the 32 owners, the 32 teams, Roger Goodell, all of them to stop running. Stop running from the truth, stop running from the people. We’re out here, we’re ready to play, we’re ready to go anywhere,” Kaepernick said.

'We’re out here, we’re ready to play, we’re ready to go anywhere' smdh
I'm hoping by 'we' he means him and his Nike possee and doesn't really believe he represents some type of tribe. WTF that's messiah complex 101 right there
