I agree with all of that except I still am not sure why learning something more slowly worries you that the learning process will be stunted/******ed. I have had no such experience in my life, just the opposite, when I take the time to learn something more slowly I seem to learn it more thoroughly. Of course N'Keal might not be up to the task at all, like many others were not, but I see no correlation between learning more slowly and not being able to learn at all.
BB says you have to learn from your mistakes and keep getting better. Never stop learning. BB does not say that guys who start quick learn more quickly, or having an injury means your learning process will be stunted/******ed. I think there are a lot of guys getting better every year, slowly but surely.
