N’Keal Harry being put on IR

I usually agree with your posts- but always thought you were maybe little too quick and too harsh with the name-calling directed at some of our, ahem, panic-stricken and mentally-challenged posters.
But damn, man, I gotta go with you on this thread. I didn't even read the whole thread, but there's a couple on here that only one word fits: ****sies.
Hes 10000% correct to lash out at some of these bobos. Maybe they'll think before they post.

JE was not injured his rookie year- 2009. He had all of TC and all of the regular season to learn and do. Very different set of circumstances.

I know he'll still be in classrooms, position meetings, etc but the actual engagement in understanding the nuances of the offense and Tom's preferences by "doing" is something he will not be able to do until November. Additionally if 4WR (JE, Josh, DT and whomever else) are doing well, that would limit his on the field practice and game time which would- in theory ****** his growth for this year.

I agree with all of that except I still am not sure why learning something more slowly worries you that the learning process will be stunted/******ed. I have had no such experience in my life, just the opposite, when I take the time to learn something more slowly I seem to learn it more thoroughly. Of course N'Keal might not be up to the task at all, like many others were not, but I see no correlation between learning more slowly and not being able to learn at all.

BB says you have to learn from your mistakes and keep getting better. Never stop learning. BB does not say that guys who start quick learn more quickly, or having an injury means your learning process will be stunted/******ed. I think there are a lot of guys getting better every year, slowly but surely.

Happy I haven't read this whole thread...it's going down...

The bad news usually comes out like molasses.

Who wants to gamble at 8 weeks Harry cant go and is on ice until next season?

I will take that bet. What are we betting?

Say anything critical of the Pats and the triggering starts.

Like, the Pats suck at drafting WRs. Branch and Givens in 19 years is piss poor.
Don’t forget Edelman. Maybe even Mitchell as he showed he could play, but his knees took over.

Maybe Harry will be our number 1 wide receiver in 9 weeks

JG flakes out
DT foot falls off
JE gets injured again

I’m cutting the guy on the end of the bench.

That's fine. And if Belichick saw the guy on the end of the bench was someone in his early 20s under contract for several seasons and he thought he had a future helping this team, I have no problem with him not risking him for Harry to get a few more practices. (As Bruins29 said, he can start practicing after 6 weeks)

The guys on the end of the bench do not fit that description.
Look I understand the concept but I disagree with it.
I 100% support Belichick but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with every decision because he made it.

I'm watching NFL Network replaying the last Super Bowl.
I am shocked! Shocked I tell you!!
I thought the Kansas City Chiefs were in the Super Bowl.
Who are these imposters with the weird logo on their helmets that resembles Elvis Presley?
Must be some kinda Photoshop wizardry or sumpin' that replaced the awesome Chiefs with these phonies.

I bet some of the people who post here wear a helmet 24/7

My concern is based on the # of repetitions he will not have. Some people are savants. Some people need 1000s of reps to nail something down.

If Harry is the former, great. If he is the latter that will be a concern.

Nobody is saying that at all.

Burress
Brown
Wallace
Holmes
Juju
Sanders
Ward

Pitt has done a very good job finding Stud WRs in the draft.

I hope no Patriots fan is disputing that success rate. I think they have another in Washington a Second year man.

Harry could not get open in college. Should be a great fit in the NFL...ooops. Another BB early round WR disaster.

No but you need to count all of Pitt's WR draft picks since 2000 and come up with success % on the picks.

Hint: Pitt has drafted WRs at a rate 3X that of NE

A White Russian at Wachusett CC

:p

You already owe me free beers at the Wachusett Country Club for your "Dorsett will never make the final 53" posts from a month ago. Maybe you can pay up before I extend you more credit? :D

Haha. Yes in Shrewsbury. We went through this all a month ago. You go to the Wachusett CC on Friday nights. I like to ride my Harley up Rt 140. You obviously forget - makes me feel good because I thought I was getting forgetful.

FreidaFromDartmouth? Fred is OK - just gets a little pessimistic sometimes.
