Danny Amendola Reunion?

Yeah bring him back if it makes sense financially.

Would be another guy that Brady trusts and is a lot better than Hogan.

He’ll turn 34 next season. Kind of long in the tooth for the position.

All that matters with Amendola is that he is a receiver Brady can absolutely count on when he has to move the chains. He doesn’t need to be out there every snap and his total numbers really don’t matter, all that matters is that he produces when they have to make a play. I would take him back in a heartbeat.

Adam Humphries > Amendola. I hope Humphries is a FA target for us.

I wouldn't hate Humphries but he'll make much more money than Amendola and there's no guarantee he'll fit our system the same way despite the...visual similarities.

DA is what he is average in the regular season Beast in the Playoffs. But the fact is he's long in the tooth. We have to get younger at that position. Humphries would fit perfectly here he's a terrific route runner. He has played well with inconsistent QB's he would Excell with Brady here.

Minimum salary?? Maybe. We need a new wr!! Hogan is finished and Dorsett is hopeless. That Humphries guy from the Bucs??? Cole Beasley might leave the cowboys too. You know Bill loves those white guys lol.

I love this narrative. The dude scores touchdowns in the two playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl and is hopeless. Right!!!

If you are looking at his as a number 1 receiver, you shouldn't be and that is on you. He has had some value to this team.

Also instead of DA I could see the Pats Investing in guys like Tate or Beasley a two year pact based on their ages. Both are still younger than DA and Edelman and it would be money well spent for proven talents.

I don’t really think Danny said anything all that bad and I’d be surprised if we don’t at least give him a call if he becomes available.

One is 25 the other 33. Dola is a year-by-year proposition and Humphries might be a 3-4 year player. Of course in the end it will come down to money but getting some younger players in to have a smoother transition to whatever will follow when this generation steps away is necessary.

Dont even respond to this idiot

Time to hit on some draft pick WRs and get younger.

I recall him doing his level best to torch (tourch?) bridges on his way out... Remember that ridiculous limo ride with Reiss?

If the numbers were right and if BB see's value in bringing Danny back he will do it a a split second.

Pass.

I loved DA here but this is about the future. Let’s get some young talent here.

If they're bringing in a young slot guy and at least one WR1/WR2 level player, why would they need Edelman insurance at the expense of other players?

I don't see any role for him, unless the Patriots decide that they are not bringing back any of the quartet from last year (Gordon/Patterson/Hogan/Dorsett). But, I can see that there will be those who'd rather give the WR4/WR5 spot to him than to a younger player.
I don't see Hogan being here next year. He doesn't seem to be able to generate separation.

Exactly. And I think he'll contribute more next year.
