It's amazing, given how much $$$ the NFL and CBS have wrapped up in their game broadcasts, that this is the talent they willingly put in the booth. Think of all the poor production people, camera people, etc. listening to this and just getting upset at how their work reaches the audience via his presentation.
I refuse to believe that there's actually such a big talent dropoff, industry wide, that CBS has no one better available to them than Fouts. Romo makes him and his style look incredibly poor in contrast.
Shoot, you could probably plug in some podcaster or youtuber or patsfans super poster and get better results.
So, why keep Fouts or any really bad broadcaster? Is the average NFL audience just looking for what he brings to the table?
