This AFCCG can finally shut up the naysayers right?

Let them keep on! Say the Pats haven't beaten any real talent this year; Go blanked by Buffalo; Were flat against Houston, and the Steelers beat themselves with drops / were slowed down by the flu / lost a day's prep / FireAlarmGate!

Please give us two weeks or "Matty is the MVP", "Julio is God!", "The Atlanta defense frustrated and stymied Aaron Rodgers!"

The less positive stuff the young guys hear, the better. Let it fuel the fire guys like Brady, McCourty, and the other leaders are already building.

And, maybe, this will be the Super Bowl win we've waited for - blowout. No pressure-packed last 5 minutes of the 4th. Just a leisurely final drive, TFB handing off to BFT, to run the clock down to triple zeros.

This next game feels like the opposite of the Seahawks game. Last time it was picking apart the leagues top defense. This time it is about stifling the leagues best offense.
Luckily for us this is a BB specialty:D:D:D:D

He's probably watching film as we speak lol

I'm just glad the whole "they haven't played against any good D" storyline can go away now.

It wasn't that the Pats hadn't played against good defenses prior to Pittsburgh, it was just that they whupped them and exposed them all. Even the vaunted Steeler D that had the Chiefs in a headlock, looked downright mediocre against this Patriots attack. Their pass rush never emerged. Their secondary was exposed.

We must have violated some laws of physics. I think that Erie Adams changed the gravitational constant of the universe. ;)
Speaking of Ernie Adams, shouldn't he have told Bellichick to challenge that first Pitt TD?

Roethlisberger suggested in his post game presser that there wasn't any alarm pulled, so hopefully that is true (or not, I really don't give a ****) and the media picks up that story.

All we heard was Pitt was a problem before the season started.
Then they stunk for a while and it was Oakland. Carr doesn't get injured it's a race for the number one seed and this game plays in Oakland.

That didn't happen. So they looked towards the Chiefs. Can't stop them. They can beat the Pats. They look like a Pee Wee team and they are done.

Next up, the Squealers. Can't stop them. Too tough. They get beaten.

Now the next excuse. If they dispatch that, then come April and the draft, the next excuse.

It's a never ending loop.

Reporter: Ben, there were reports of an alarm at the team hotel last night. Did that..

BR: (Interrupts) There were reports (smiles)

Reporter: Well, I wasn't there so I don't know.

BR: (smiles again)

Not that I'm meaning to drudge it up, but it's the appropriate thread and I'd love to help set the record straight if true.

I don't know what to believe in the media anymore, but from watching this interaction it sure seems as though Roethlisberger is strongly suggesting that nothing happened. I don't know why else he'd interrupt the reporter like that with a big smile on his face?

So all the forum folks flapping on me yesterday RE the purported fire alarm stunt were--more probably than not--talking out their butts?

Say it ain't so, Joe!

No way that happens. You know the Pats, it's always close in the Super Bowls. Probably will come down to a game cliching INT from Jonathan Jones with 35 secs left.

Supa, they had a part of his PC on Patriots 5th quarter and I thought I heard him acknowledge that it happened.

Yeah, I mean, someone was arrested so it must have happened, but when you see the exchange between he/the reporter, it sure comes off as odd. Like I said, he interrupts the reporter and says "there were reports" with a big smile on his face. Perhaps he was being sarcastic and one of the alarms was right outside of his door or something.

No, nothing will shut up the naysayers.
More importantly, why do we even bother thinking about shutting up the naysayers?
Haters gonna hate.
Naysayers gonna say nay.
That's pretty much that.
