The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

Yeah, the team is depleted of talent, yet they have next to no cap space and the situation is only getting worse next year. Good job on cap management Tannenbaum.

From Dan Hanzus at NFL.com:

It's been reported that an NFL team quietly is seeking a new general manager whom it hopes can work alongside the general manager currently in place.

Do we even have to tell you this is a story about the New York Jets?

Do New York Jets want new role for Mike Tannenbaum? - NFL.com

I'm sure it's already been pointed out, but how can an organization expect to attract a quality GM when apparently its already been decided that the head coach will stay?

Isn't the GM supposed to be the one to decide who coaches the team?

Yet speculation is that Wrecks Ryan is safe regardless of who the apparently pre-castrated GM is.

only two certainties in life...

Planck's constant = 6.626068 × 10-34 m2 kg / s

and

the Jets Suck

BTW, you can write the units for Planck's constant much more easily as "joule-seconds." :)

Pre-castrated...sums up the job description perfectly.

No one worth hiring will want to enter a situation where the guy he's technically replacing remains because he has the owners devotion and ear and the guy his success depends upon remains because the owner is still enamored by his headline grabbing blather.

This IS what BB ran screaming from, resigning on the nearest papergood he could find. It's not going to change in Woody's ownership tenure. He's the poster boy for what purely inherited wealth nets you. A jock sniffing owner with hobby inspired delusions.

More blather from JI:

"Great Parcells line!!! Man I miss those days when we we're a reputable organization. Bring back the Tuna!!!!"

REPUTABLE!!!???

The Rats tampered with the HC of a team getting ready to play a Superbowl, and then devised an underhanded tactic known as the "poison pill" to steal one of that team's best players by making his current team essentially unable to match the offer.

Yet Rats fans think that after all of that they were reputable.

Enjoy your 44 years (and still going) of perpetual instant karma courtesy of your franchise's abominations against all that is right and good in the universe!

Report: Jets firing of OC Sparano "imminent" - TheGangGreen.com Message Board

who would want to be a OC with the jets...seriously..it's always your fault. But either way..he was a horrible fit and i remember the thread they had when they signed him about how he is going to be amazing and 100x better than shotty

They can keep firing OCs until the cows come home. As long as Wrecks is head coach, the Green Beans system will remain inherently dysfunctional.

heh...the Post catches on 4 years too late...

Man these Jets Suck more than they did in 2011...I can't wait to see how bad they suck in 2013:rocker:

They might too. And the cows may not be in a big hurry to get back home.

What is it about Sparano anyway? I look at that guy and get the creeps. He reminds me of Gollum, that slimy thingamabob who crept up and stole away with her-er, her-er.

Enough Tuna, gotta ramble on now ....

Sanchez' ineptitude is doing an amazing job of costing coaches their jobs and putting those of others on the line. I can't imagine any respectable coach would want to come in there and tie their fate to Sanchez as his THIRD OC in 5 years.

Why would any respectable OC want to tie his fate to the Jets?

- They have no QB prospect worth mentioning
- They have very limited talent at WR
- They have nothing special at RB
- Dustin Keller is a FA and will probably be gone
- Their OL is a anywhere from mediocre to a mess outside of Mangold and Ferguson

I'm gonna miss this little guy when his time as a starter for the NYJ is up. *sniff*

You may see him this week:

Via multiple reports, Ryan said Wednesday that McElroy has an abdominal issue. (Given that he was sacked 11 times on Sunday, it’s surprising he still has an abdomen at all.)

While McElroy is expected to practice, his availability for Sunday suddenly is in question. And it could mean that Mark Sanchez and/or Tim Tebow will play.

McElroy is injured, which puts all three quarterbacks in play for Sunday | ProFootballTalk

Maybe he caught a bad case of "gutless" from Li'l Marky. Either that, or after being sacked 11 times, he's already had a "belly full" of playing quarterback for the Green Beans after one start.

Gotta love Rah! Rah! long rambling post about how the Jets should bring back Tanny, Rex, and Sanchez because they are close to righting the ship and bringing a Super Bowl to the Jets' organization.

Boy and I thought my posts can get long winded. This is the War and Peace of message board posts without the interesting prose based in reality.

When reality filed for divorce, she took him to the cleaners. :singing:

And SAR fires back...

These are my favorite types of Rah-Rah posts because I can just glance at it and know that no one is reading it.

Someone summarize this unreadable pile in a few sentences so I can properly make fun of it.

Thanks.

SAR is wrong though...speaking for myself...I read every single delicious syllable that cascades forth from the keyboard of Dweebil McGreengreen....at least 19 times a day...it's like those peanut butter and chocolate Hershey kisses....always leaves you wanting more
