The Colts game probably won't matter too much in the long run; the Pats had little chance of catching the Colts for the #1 seed. However, this Saints game will mean a lot. It's on the road, against a 10-0 team. If the Pats win, they're 8-3 and it'll be all downhill from there: at Miami, vs. Carolina, at Buffalo, vs. Jacksonville, at Houston. The #2 seed is up for grabs.

Actually the Saints game is one of the least important games left. It is an out of the conference game and if they are going to lose another game, it is better to lose out of the conference for tiebreakers.

WRONG.
The FISH game means everything. We beat them we have the division.

Yeah I agree with the 2 above posters. All this game is for you guys is a measuring stick.

I think he means it in more of a psychological sense. If we win, it's a big confidence booster, and we break our road woes.

Also getting ahead record-wise helps in every sense.

in two weeks when we basically lock up the division in Miami, yeah, that's the most important game

next week is for fun and to stay in the hunt for a #2 seed

Winning your divison is always 1st; than home field is next which we are still in the running for 2nd place.

If we lose to Miam........ never mind I won't say it.

we would be very happy if the Pats team takes this games as easy and not important. We on the other hand will be looking to play our best game and make an example, same as the Giants. You will not beat New Orleans.

The Pats have the division almost in the bag.

It's the #2 seed that's the focus in the final six games.

You play for the Saints?

It's been 3 years since I've lived in the Big Easy, but I can honestly say there are ALOT of DIE DIE DIE HARD Saints fans out there - they were heavily rooting for that team EVEN DURING the sorry Ditka years, the 2nd half of the Mora dull years...heck, they were fans of this team even before Mora came in to turn them into winners for a short period.

Pt being that you're not going to find an inch of fair weathered Saints fans in that area, NOT ONE. I myself knew alot of them - sure, they griped way too much for our tastes, but nonetheless, they've stuck with this team through thick and thin.

If anything, Sean Payton is by far the best HC this team has had - I think he's invested a system for the long haul for this team. Look for the Dome to REALLY be ROCKING next Monday night.

Yeah, I mean I wear my Pats jersey every Sunday but never before last Sunday did anyone ever comment on it around here, mind you it was people I've never seen wearing Saints gear all decked out in black and gold. come on, there's plenty of bandwagon fans in new orleans, taking NOTHING away from the die hards, there's a lot of them too, but it's like any other fan base.

When you say almost, is that with the assumption that you beat Miami? Because if the Dolphins win that game, it's basically a four game season for the division.

Every game is the most important game of the season.

I'm tired of hearing how the NO game doesn't count just because it doesn't factor into tie-breakers. Don't forget that the most important factor is overall record.

You could go 10-6 and lose all 6 divisional games and still win the division if everyone else finishes 9-7 or worse. Yes, the Dolphins game carries division implications, but if we win against the Saints and the Dolphins lose next week, we still pick up a game on them.

The New Orleans game means quite a bit. So please stop saying it doesn't matter.

I dont agree, most of us have been fans since 67 and all the bag years, saints fans were voted 3x as the best fans in the world. Bandwagons we dont care about, so what. We know who was there and who still is. The one thing we can be proud of is we always supported our boys and always will. Dome is going to be pretty noisy :) Ill be there. Pats have never faced a team this complete yet.

No, I say "almost" because I think there's very little chance Miami overtakes the Patriots to win the division this season. Sorry.

when your 7-4 and miami is 6-5 they might , you play the saints hard fight they play the bills. Saints are not a joke and BB knows that , we will beat you 4 quarters and Brees is just as good as Brady but with more weapons, this will be your hardest fight, because we will do anything to win and close, unlike the colts we have the #1 OL and a run game. So dont drink to much koolaid because the saint are coming.

Yeah I imagined all of those "go Saints, and take the hornets with you" bumper stickers before Katrina. Like I said there are tons of die hards but like with any fan base there are a ton of people I've never heard give two craps about the Saints all of a sudden acting like huge fans.
