The Patriots just announced via Twitter the date for the first playoff game, and New England will host the Divisional playoff game at Gillette Stadium on January 16th.

According to the Tweet the game will be played at 4:30pm ET on CBS.

Their opponent obviously to this point isn’t set just yet, and we’ll be taking a look at each of them over the course of this week. So be sure to check back for what will likely be an exciting couple of weeks heading into this postseason.

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe also announced that should the Patriots advance, the AFC Championship game will be played January 23rd at 6:30pm regardless of who is hosting. The NFC Championship will be the first game that same day beginning at 3:00pm.
