ESPN's John Clayton reports the Patriots have signed safety Brandon McGowan to a two year contract.
McGowan, 25, spent the past four years with the Chicago Bears. His signing, along with the addition of 2nd round draft choice Patrick Chung, may signal that the door may be closing on a return for Rodney Harrison.
