I really have no idea what to expect tonight. If we play like the first half of the Detroit game (or the second half of Jets I) we lose. If we play like the second half of the Detroit game, we have a good chance to win.
My head tells me a close Jets win. But I really don't know. It's a compelling story line, that's for sure. I would think one or two big plays will decide the game -- the bounce of a ball, a fingertip, a close measurement.
Patriots find themselves in a game that the Jets franchise has, essentially, been preparing for for a few years. What does that mean? You'd think the Jets would hit the red line on intensity and come out like gangbusters. We have Brady, Belichick, and home field. Statistically those seem to mean a lot. But, I just don't know how to predict this one. "Confidence" is certainly not a word I'd use. For all of that, I think the game could very well come down to how well Sanchez does over 60 minutes.
