Worst and best Patriot names ever

Shockmain Davis is my all-time favorite.

Tony Romeo was a good one. Hart Lee Dykes. Not a Patriot, but i always liked Otis Sistrunk.

Tedy Bruschi. Seriously, while the spelling is different, the guy's last name is slang for beer. It don't get any better than that.

Mosi Tatupu is a classic. A Samoan priest even utters it as stream-of-consciousness jibberish in an incantation ceremony in an early Simpsons episode.
Vagas Fergeson was pretty hilarious too. Howard Cosell had a lot of fun announcing that name on Monday Night Football.

I never really cared that much for beer, but I like the term Bruschi

I also like the name Pat Pass. A TD pass to Pat Pass of the Pats was a rare but wonderful thing.

Hoomanawanui (worst or best, take your pick) is one that gives the announcers fits these days. It seems like they should try and say it correctly, even if only once in a while, but they don't.

I am a big fan of Brady.

do 'nicknames count'
Sam Bam Cunningham
John Hog Hannah

Earthwind Moreland

Johnny Outlaw, DB in late 60s early 70s. Has 3 picks in 1971 including one for a TD. Considering his name, surprised he never played for Al Davis and the Raiders.

I'd like to hear an announcer deal with a game next month in which L.T. Tuipulotu and Seali'i Epenesa converge on a ball carrier for a tackle. It'll make the play-by-play man yearn for a pass from Garoppolo to Hommanawanui.

Dr. Bill Lenkaitis. Patriots center from the 1970's. He was also a dentist.

Chris Slade has stuck with me over the years. I still think of his Patriot days from time to time. I am pretty sure that happens because I love his name. Sounds like a very violent anti-hero.
