So lost in the drama (must be a Pats forum) is that tomorrow is the first day the franchise tag can be applied. To me the smart move by the Pats would be a very decisive action at the moment it can be done. This will tell every other team in the league without question the Patriots have clear intentions about not letting Matt walk away and will begin the bargaining. I think delaying it would be ok, but an immediate action would send a clear signal to the NFL and also kick down the door to speculation castle. Anyone else think it happens tomorrow?
