Who Was Your Most Surprising Member of the 53?

Surprising? Eladon Roberts. I like it though, the kid can stick it in there and knock opposing players on their asses. Wouldn't be shocked if he develops into a 3 Dowm backer over time.

Josh [Max Lane] Kline ......

Everyone on the 53 man is there for a reason.

Keeping both Waddel and Fleming is a mild surprise because they're both underwhelming. But the roster needs bodies at the position. I'm still hopeful they'll get chopped in favor of some player we haven't seen yet.

My biggest surprise was that Keyshawn Martin didn't make the roster. Didn't have a great preseason, but he's shown up during the regular season and made big plays in the past. Makes me wonder if maybe the guy kicked it into autopilot after signing his extension last year. Let that be a lesson, your signing bonus will not keep you safe on this team if you're underperforming. (And, yes, that applies to you, too, Martellus--step it up)

Dont know why so many think Roberts is a surprise he's depth where as KGH is/was just another specialist (at this point in time). The evidence was there Roberts playing with the 1s and KGH not playing till the 4th quarter. I agree I was intrigued with KGH but there is only so many spots on the roster and depth > specialist

All you draft gurus out there, please give me a synopsis on our new OT Clay deBord...

Athletic enough to stay at LT; has LT reach and above-average hand size.

Problem is, he performed less than 20 reps at 225; it will likely take him an entire season to become
functionally strong enough to become backup-LT-quality on a SB contender.

Worth the PS signing.

Probably Martin, but that's just because I figured they'd keep 5 WRs. I think everyone would have agreed on the first 4 WR keepers.

Not the most surprising, but my most disappointing member of the 53 is Brandon King.
Having both him & Ebner on the 53 is redundant, same as having both Develin & Bolden (prevents us from adding another between-the-Tackles RB), and both Cannonfodder & Phlegming (prevents us from
adding real athleticism & talent to the OL).

And while I wasn't a fan of the KGH draft pick, Elandon Roberts simply cannot tackle or cover. Opponents either bounce off him or run away from him.
We are, once again, going into a season without a LB who can cover TEs & RBs. Inexcusable.
But hey, let's give Jonny Freeny & Matty Slater contract extensions!
