Who is the best third-round pick in Patriots' history?
By: John Morgan

Christopher Price over at WEEI has been running a great series that has sparked some debate and helped pass the void in time with no free agency during the lockout: columns taking a look at who the Patriots have drafted in each round in the past, followed by a fan vote on which player was the best pick in each of those rounds in the history of the Patriots.

Today’s entry focuses on what player was the best third round pick in Patriots history and is essentially a two-candidate race ...

Putting the team they played most of their career aside this is still a tough debate.

Its Hall of Famer without a Ring

Vs border line but likely not a Hall of Fame with 3 rings

Hall of famer vs Champion.

I am going with Bruschi as I feel his role as ILB was more valuable than a RB as far as being the brain of the D and running the D.

Curtis Martin

Curtis Martin

I was going to say CuMart too until I remembered he screwed my Pats over (in cahoots with that bottom bellied a-hole, Parcells) and bolted to the Jets and into the waiting arms of his one true love, Tuna.

Therefore: BRUSCHI! <-embodied everthing a Patriot should be. Heart, fight, passion, work ethic, leadership, talent, intelligence, loyalty.
