Not nearly long enough, but this was posted a few months ago on NFL.com:

Mike Vrabel: #7 most versatile NFL player of all time

Any case, mine would be the second touchdown he scored against the JEST in the same game, on basically the same exact play. :rocker:

The third time the Pats were at the JEST goalline, they triple-teamed him. :D

I loved the game with the twin strip-sacks. Sniff.

I mean this MOSTLY in jest: You people make me sick.

Super Bowl XXXVI - The Hurry.

This thread should be "what's your 2nd favorite Vrabel play?" Come on, people! ;)

To get real nostalgic the pressure he caused that resulted in Ty Laws pick six in Super Bowl XXXVI

I did say favorite, not best/most important. :)

Ex.: my favorite Gostkowski kick was his final kickoff against the Ravens.

Oh sure, that. Superbowl, whatever. Ho-hum. ;)

Seriously, somehow that game scarcely seems to belong to the rest of football for me. It lives in its own crystal globe.

well, there's this one:

Strip sack of Jake in SB that lead to Patriots TD.

Tomahawk strip in the SB.... and it's not even close. :D

Top Vrabel Plays

1.) QB pressure he put on Warner to force Ty Law's pick six in Super Bowl 36.
2.) Great catch (for any receiver) for TD vs. Rams in 2004.
3.) Go ahead TD REC in fourth quarter of SB 38.
4.) Sack of McNabb in 2nd QTR of SB 39.
5.) Pick six at Carolina.

Like, how can this not be #1 ?

There are too many to name, but my favorite game is the Jets game with 2 touchdowns.

Definitely Super Bowl 38. Between the strip sack and the TD catch, Vrabel was in mind the most memorable Patriot on the field that day.

Number 2! Number 2!

How about all of the plays where he was effectively blocked by the tackle, yet still managed to free an arm and jab it in there to screw up the QB?

How about the perfect extentions of offensive linemen while setting the edge against the run?

How about moving inside to play an unnatural position, not only sacrificing some of his prime years at OLB, but sacrificing lucrative sack-based incentives for the betterment of the team?

How about doing all of the little things right?

How about "You'll never be Drew Brees! We know it, and everyone in your huddle knows it."

Come on, people, this one should be obvious to everyone: the time he allegedly grabbed and squeezed Ike Reece's testicles in a scrum while trying to collect a fumble.
