What I am going to be watching closely and mostly is the play of richard Seymour. A healthy richard Seymour magnifies the play of our linebacks across the line. If he plays like a 2-gap NT on the right side I don't think that's going to cut it. If he's 85% to 90% of the old Richard Seymour I think that will be good enough to complement the other players we have.
My questions are:
1 - Which Richard Seymour will we see.
Just slightly better than we saw.
2 - Does he need to be dominant like the old Richard?
NO, but what we saw did not cut it either.
3 - Does he have a long or short leash?
IMO he has a 1/2-season leash.
4 - Can we expect to see more Jarvis Greene?
I think we should already be seeing this... Jarvis is a competant player who though not as imposing as Seymour is certainly adept at getting into the backfield which will help our DB's.
I forgot to add that I think a smaller Richard Seymour will help us and him out the most.
