Thats a tough one..Every year we hear how this is going to be the year that Oregon takes that last step forward and wins the big one. But then they never do.

people are only saying the packers becaue they went last year and everyone has such short term memeorie..last year it was the saints and Drew Brees that were sure locks for SB and MVP..next year it will be whoever wins this year. (hopefully TB and the pats)

To Peter King, one word is all you need to know why the Chargers will not be in the Super Bowl: NORV.

The bigger the game, the more Norv plays not to lose. His 4-4 record in the playoffs is what he is. He turned winning the jackpot as OC in Dallas into a long and mediocre (99-106) HC career. Owners and media and fans like the guy, but when it comes to the Big Game, well, Norv, you are no Jimmy Johnson.

That's okay. The weather is great in San Diego and the fans can just go surfing or staking out Boston's most-wanted mobsters when the season ends.

It's not just King.

Look at good ole' Jaws at ESPN. He thinks based on the Detroit game, Cameron Wake is licking his chops. Hey Jaws, weren't you like in Miami last year for our game? You do realize we play them twice a year?

Florio was talking about the 3rs down/ turnover differential thing. I guess he missed the fact that 3rd down conversion means more plays which leads to mistakes which leads to turnovers.
