Was that Vrabel's first drop for a TD in the end zone?

If I am correct, tonights game was the very first in Mike Vrabel's Patriots career that he dropped a TD pass intended for him when playing as a receiver - Correct?

If so, I say we cut the bum - Theres no place on the team for butterfingers ;)

It really didn't happen. *shifty eyes*

Don't these dopes understand that dropped TD passes don't pay the rent?
God it really burns me up when these guys don't earn their keep.

It's not the first pass thrown at him that didn't work. I recall one that was simply batted away by the defender.

nope. The thing is all 6 of his receptions are TDs. He's dropped a few.

Didn't count because of the illegal procedure penalty

Would have been nice for Mike to get another TD. Would have been Bradys 50th to #50.

It wouldn't count because the play didn't happen. Like the false start on 4th down vs Ravens. The play didn't happen and we had to play it again.

So the Vrabel did not have any dropped pass (the record books would show that)

Closer to 10 actually ;)

8 in the regular season including this year and a couple in Playoffs / Superbowls.

Worse than the drop was his gaffe that negated it.

I'm pretty sure Vrabel failed to report, causing the formation to be illegal when he covered up the last man on the line of scrimmage, while wearing a number between 50 and 79. He also was an inelligible man downfield, but the illegal procedure came first.

The NFLN guys showing the replay didn't have a clue, but the reason the flag came so late was probably that the refs had to caucus to see if he reported. Vrabel also is pointing to his number as he's running off the field.

You'd think for all his offensive plays he'd remember that, particularly in a big spot. Good for Maroney for picking up the team in a big spot!
