Anyway, your commitment to the Board inspired me to re-up my lapsed subscription as a PatsFans Supporter!
Thanks for all that you do.
Unfortunately I lost it 75% through the migration, likely because of the higher traffic on the server for a weekday causing a higher load which caused an issue with the process running. Needless to say I'll wait until next weekend and give it another shot then. It was running much slower than the first time I did it, which was a successful attempt and went off without a hitch. Although I used a different method, which I'll try again next weekend instead to hopefully ensure it works out.
Sorry everybody.
Ian
do you have to be up pretty much all night to do it?
Apology accepted Ian, don't let it happen again or their will be severe consequences. Saturday night is OK with me but try to have it done by noon Sunday or it might inconvenience me, and we cannot have that.
Not all night, but a lot of it. Have to shut the board down, run a back-up and a few other processes before I can really start it, which overall takes about 90-minutes or so to prep it.
Then once I start the migration process it takes 2-3 hours or so to get through the first few steps of importing everyone's accounts, etc. before I can get to the point where I can start the process to begin the thread/post import which obviously takes the longest (15hrs the first time I did it). Once that starts I monitor the pace of how that's going for the first 30-minutes or so just to make sure it's running OK. But after that I'll let it run and then I just check on it in the morning. If everything runs relatively smoothly I'll start at 8pm and then hopefully by 1am-2am I'll get to bed.
At least that's about how it went the first time I made the first dry-run behind the scenes and that worked fine. I'll try it again Saturday night and hopefully this time will go a little smoother

Just a thought.
