"Please, Colts fans. Don't sell your tickets to Patriots fans…We need that stadium totally packed in blue. No Patriots." [WHDH]
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning

LMAO, did he actually say that???

this one is funny:

8. "I think at that point, to use the phrase that my dad used to use, 'The hay is in the barn.' You're confident in what you're doing. Certainly there's butterflies there, but you're confident in what you're doing and your team is confident and you just get a good night's sleep and get ready to go and play the game. I've never had a problem sleeping before a game."
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick

Translation: "I always sleep well when the preparation has

he is such a cry baby. they should sell a Peyton Manning bibb

. "He's a funny guy, and I think you get to see that side of him in those commercials and for that reason I think it's good. We see him here as this serious guy, this driven guy, but he enjoys life." [Boston Globe]
Colts head coach Tony Dungy on Peyton Manning's commercials

Translation: "Hey I have a commercial too you know. The one with the quarterback in the car. And I tell him what to say to the girl. It's pretty funny, don't you think? We've definitely got the Patriots beat on commercials. They've got us on coaching, Super Bowl wins, maybe even at quarterback. But we have the edge in commercials, right?"

Sad thing is, I actually like that commercial.

I've said this to others, who don't agree with me, but I think the Peyton Manning commercials are mean spirited -- the master card ones.

First there was the one a year or two ago where he's hounding a guy for an autograph yelling, "you're my favorite accountant." Now he's kind of mocking regular people working regular jobs by yelling things at them that fans say to sports stars.

I don't really understand why this is funny or why this works for mastercard. The superstar quarterback with the dream life who makes millions of dollars making fun of us regular guys? Asking the guy who makes his coffee whether it's decaf while the guy is lying on the ground? Or making fun of the fans that adore him and want his autograph by mimicking them.

I just don't get it.
