Is it dumb to invite him, no way, he's a big name and the NFL generates the maximum amount of buzz by having him there.
Is it dumb for him to go, yes, he's by no means a lock to go in round 1, why go there when he might be picked until the mid-rounds in the draft? He'd be better off watching it with his family at home.
It's ridiculous for the NFL to invite someone to the 1st day of the draft who has no chance of being drafted on Day 1.
As for it being a TV Show. It might be, but Tim Tebow isn't going to draw people to watch. He's NOT Tiger Woods. In fact, Tebow is more likely to be the next Heisman Trophy winner to be a nobody in the NFL than anything else.
You say he has no hope of being drafted on the first day. If Jacksonville trade out of the no.10 spot to a late first round pick, what do you say then?
I'd say I'll gladly take Jacksonville's 3rd & 4th this year plus their 2011 1st for New Englands #22. This would fill up our holes in the middle of the draft and give us TWO top 10 picks in the 2011 draft!
I'm having a harder time understanding why he would want to subject himself to having to wait a couple of rounds in front of the eyes of the nation. He could have just as easily stayed home.

Don't be surprised when the Bills reach for him at #8 when Clausen in off the board. Go Bills! Go Bills!

I still say that Jacksonville won't draft him in the 1st round. Tebow is a horrible QB. That was clear at the Senior Bowl. He showed he ONLY knows how to work out of the gun and can barely read defenses.
Sure, as long as it is a game playing with guys from other schools with whom he has never played before, I'm sure we can come up with his total yards passing, passer rating, and TD/INT ratio for the next 7 or 8 years. Why ever not?Yeah, because it only takes 1 game to know how a player will turn out over a career
