Not sure if this was talked about, but does anyone else find it pretty dumb for this kid to have been invited to be in the Green Room on the draft days?

They're producing a tv show. Tebow's reaction shots on thursday and friday will give the pundits something to discuss.

Is it dumb to invite him, no way, he's a big name and the NFL generates the maximum amount of buzz by having him there.

Is it dumb for him to go, yes, he's by no means a lock to go in round 1, why go there when he might be picked until the mid-rounds in the draft? He'd be better off watching it with his family at home.

No not dumb at all.

I'll give you a list of names, tell me who is the most well known nationally?

Tebow, Suh, Clausen, Bradford?

I'll give you another list of names,

Tim Tebow, Jim Furyk, Chris Paul, Matt Ryan?

Exactly, Tebow brings extra media wherever he goes. Outside the elite in sport he is the biggest name and biggest draw, he might even belong in the elite as a media draw.

I totally agree with this. I think it was Joe Thomas who simply went fishing for the day, I like that idea.

It's ridiculous for the NFL to invite someone to the 1st day of the draft who has no chance of being drafted on Day 1.

As for it being a TV Show. It might be, but Tim Tebow isn't going to draw people to watch. He's NOT Tiger Woods. In fact, Tebow is more likely to be the next Heisman Trophy winner to be a nobody in the NFL than anything else.

I heard somewhere that they are inviting a lot more players this year. Many more than they normally would.

You say he has no hope of being drafted on the first day. If Jacksonville trade out of the no.10 spot to a late first round pick, what do you say then?

I'd say I'll gladly take Jacksonville's 3rd & 4th this year plus their 2011 1st for New Englands #22. This would fill up our holes in the middle of the draft and give us TWO top 10 picks in the 2011 draft! :p

That would be a great trade plus it would give BB the opportunity to have fun game planning against the Jags whenever we get to play them.

I'm having a harder time understanding why he would want to subject himself to having to wait a couple of rounds in front of the eyes of the nation. He could have just as easily stayed home.

It's God's plan for him to wait in front of the camera for three days........... :rolleyes2:

Three words my man: Scripture. Flash. Cards.

Think about it. They're gonna pan in on jean shorts Jesus virtually every minute. Everytime they stick that camera in his face- BAM! He hits 'em with the Corinthians. Suzy Kolber sticks a mic in his face after he hits round two? Just holds up a picture of a chick eating an apple with a laughing snake in the background. Preachin and profitin, baby, preachin and profitin.

For a baptist, that's a pretty fuggin smart move.

Cause BB told him he would be the 22nd pick...

Don't be surprised when the Bills reach for him at #8 when Clausen in off the board. Go Bills! Go Bills!

I still say that Jacksonville won't draft him in the 1st round. Tebow is a horrible QB. That was clear at the Senior Bowl. He showed he ONLY knows how to work out of the gun and can barely read defenses.

Yeah, because it only takes 1 game to know how a player will turn out over a career:rolleyes:

Sure, as long as it is a game playing with guys from other schools with whom he has never played before, I'm sure we can come up with his total yards passing, passer rating, and TD/INT ratio for the next 7 or 8 years. Why ever not?

If the Bills don't take him I could see him going to Green Bay in the second

They will probably look for a QB in the draft and maybe Tebow can learn from Rodgers like Rodgers learned from Favre, although Rodgers was a bit more talented coming out of college.
