    Okay...the warm up is over:

    33. PROJECTED TRADE Jacksonville trades this pick to the Jets for #39 and a later pick. Ryan Nassib QB Syracuse.

    34. 49ers – David Amerson CB NC State

    35. Eagles – Jamar Taylor CB Boise State

    36. Lions -- Manelik Watson OT Florida State

    37. PROJECTED TRADE Cincinnati trades this pick to the Raiders for #42 and a later pick. The Raiders take Geno Smith QB West Virginia

    38. Cardinals – Matt Barkley QB USC

    39. Jaguars (from N.Y. Jets). – The Jags were gambling a QB fell to them here, but got burned. Well, they said they preferred Gabbard to any QB in the draft, now they have their man. Tank Carradine DE Florida State

    40. Titans – Kawann Short DT Purdue

    41. Bills: Arthur Brown LB Kansas St

    42. Bengals (from Raiders): Gio Bernard RB North Carolina

    43. Buccaneers: Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M

    44. Panthers: Justin Hunter WR Tennessee

    45. PROJECTED TRADE San Diego trades this pick, along with their 7th rounder to New England for #52, and #102. The Chargers need a lot, and reached for a RT yesterday. The Pats take Robert Woods WR USC. Of course, the danger here is that the Chargers are probably also considering Woods here and may be of no mood to trade.

    46. Bills: Jesse Williams DT Alabama

    47. Cowboys: Who really knows what Jerry Jones is going to do anymore. He's quickly headed to Al Davis territory, without the part of actually being shrewd before his arrogant yet senile phase. Jonathan Cyprien S Florida International

    48. Steelers: Keenan Allen WR California

    49. Giants: Kevin Minter WR Louisiana St

    50. Bears: Manti Te’o LB Notre Dame

    51. Redskins: Brian Winters OL Kent St - It's clear that protecting the franchise is Job #1. And #2. Winters will start at either guard or right tackle for the Skins.

    52. Chargers (from Patriots): WR Markus Wheaton WR Oregon State

    53. Bengals: Barrett Jones C Alabama

    54. Dolphins: Terron Armstead OT Arkansas Pine-Bluff I doubt Armstead is ready to play LT this year, but he plus a one-year stop gap is a much better idea than paying Albert what he wants.

    55. Packers: Darius Slay CB Mississippi St

    56. Seahawks: Larry Warford G Kentucky

    57. Texans: Margus Hunt LB SMU As a rush linebacker, this guy would be crap-your-pants terrifying.

    58. Broncos: Jonathan Banks CB Mississippi St

    59. PROJECTED TRADE: New England trades this pick to Jacksonville for #64 and #135. I'd consider flipping this pick to Jax for their #1 next year, but it doesn't make sense for them to do that, and that leaves us thin for next year. I have CBs Logan Ryan, Blidi Wrey-Wilson, and Leon McFadden all about equal (but in that order), so I'll trade down a few spots and defer that decision. The Jags tab Eddie Lacy RB Alabama

    60. Falcons: Zach Ertz TE Stanford

    61. 49ers: Vance McDonald TE Rice - Nicely replaces Delanie Walker on the roster.

    62. Ravens: Brian Schwenke C California

I think Wheaton and Patton will have better careers than Woods and Hunter. Hunter has been called out by his coach. The whole world could see Woods dogged it last year. Wheaton just works his butt off in track and football. Patton plays with a chip on his shoulder because the big schools didn't offer him a scholarship. He's got that Tom Brady ticked off in him. I'd be happy with either. Like Wheaton a tad more because faster. Time will tell.

Who do you like at 64? Okafor isn't a great player. But, a pretty good pass rusher. I think Hankins and Jenkins are dogs. Don't want either. Heck, I could go with Wheaton and Patton. Sio Moore is a good player. I'm one who thinks Spikes is outta here after next year.

I really like Wheaton and Patton and if there is one guy that I would swap out for Patton then it is Woods because he is reliable. Outside of that Da'Rick Rogers is intriguing because of his upside and if he truly a guy that wants to prove doubters wrong as well as Courtney Gardner in the 7th round.

Hunter is a bum. Let someone else have him.

I want one of those three CBs (Ryan, W-W, McFadden) at 64, and then either Khaseem Greene or Sio Moore at the other 3rd rounder. If Lemonier is somehow still there, I'd probably consider him also.

I disagree strongly about Woods dogging it. Granted his attitude could have been better, but he was playing on a bad ankle most of the year and definitely protected it. Going back to the previous year, I saw a kid who was dominant for long stretches. Hunter has a bit of an attitude problem too, but no serious issues, and at some point he's worth the gamble. He, more than any other WR in the draft, gives us a mini-Moss.

I think Wheaton is a better player than Woods, to trade up for Woods and have the other team take Wheaton in our spot would leave a bad taste in my mouth

No offense but I would hope it turns out differently for the Pats.

With the meat being in this part of the draft, the Patriots would be best served by pushing up their second round picks, maybe even taking Tank.

Well, I moved up with one and moved back 5 spots with the other to get another pick in the "meat" of this draft. I'm not offended, but it seems like I maximized value as you suggest I should. I turned a mid-second, a very-late second, and an early fourth into an early second, very early third, a very early fifth, and an early seventh.

Did you just not like the players, or would you have preferred to move up with both the seconds at the expense of a third and a fourth?

A little of both really. I would prefer 3 picks in the 33-75 range with a DT/DE as one of them - Hunt perhaps.

I want to thank our new Patriots in the second round--projected, of course--Margus and Blidi.

On behalf of the premier Patsfans.com, I want to extend a cordial hello and welcome to the Patriots family.

    Here's hoping at least...

Don't fret, Brother Leemo. There'll be good WR talent in the third round, like Baylor's Terrance Williams.

You'll love him. Brady will too.
