Late Red Sox GM Lou Gorman was famous for saying, "The sun will rise, the sun will set and I will eat lunch."

Very much alive Patriots GM/Coach Bill Belichick's day is not complete without signing, cutting, promoting or demoting a Ventrone.

Safety Ross Ventrone is on today's transactions report for the 11th time ( I think) this season. Here's to the Ventrone family for a Happy New Year and hopes that Ross does not get cut until 2012.

Link Please? And it would be the 21st time this year based on what Bedard had posted..

I think if you count only being released and signed (not promotions and demotions from the Practice Squad) it's 11. Bedard, I'm sure is right.

21 times on the NFL Transactions report in one season must be some sort of record.
