Not neccessarily how he plays, because I agree with you he does remind me of Larsen.

No, an Amendola injury wouldn't surprise me (neither would a 1200 yard season) but, IMO, Thompkins is a fairly limited player who is an excellent depth player as that 4th/5th option, especially when the Patriots go 5 wide.

17/32 - 218 yds - 1 TD 1 Int. The number are not great, but he had some trouble with drops and incosistencies by his receivers. His poise and decision-making are awesome , but he's still rough around the edges. IMO, he's already better than Mallet

IIRC, he's on the Pats Weight Room Records board (or at least was last offseason).

That's probably where else I've heard his name recently, I think he was a bigger blocking type fullback.

If we took out Boyce and put in Thompkins sooner those numbers would be 24/32, 300 yards, 2 TD.
