Anyone think Dan Connolly can step in for Koppen in the long run?

Maybe a line of Solder-Mankins-Connolly-Cannon-Vollmer for the future? I like the look of that.

Isn't Connolly starting for KC? Sounds like the Pats had the right evaluation but just couldn't wait long enough for this development.

Last pick I'm watching for today. B's are on soon :D

So Romeus and Jeremy Beal are still on the board.

I hope we take one. I dont' expect it will happen, though.

I don't see Connolly as a center. So the C of the future is not on the roster yet. Might address that next year. One thing's for sure, Cannon ain't gonna get moved easily. That will really help solidfy the interior of that OL if he pans out. Talented kid by most reports.

I did not know that. That's good news.

I guess he could be a starter earlier than expected!

His wonderlic score is 28, that's almost 10 points above the league average.

He is going to hit the ground running.

He will start in game one. Thats my flat-out prediction.

Hoping for Powe.

Correction. I was thinking about Callahan (sp?)

If we're talking about players falling because of illness/injury concerns, Bowers is the steal of the draft.

Difference is that Bowers might not even finish his rookie contract; in the likely event Cannon recovers fully, it shouldn't have much impact on the rest of his career.

Just off the top of my head.

The Jets front 7 sucks. There best player is a FA (Ellis). Pace has sucked, Bryan Thomas is nothing special. They drafted a soft DE who hasn't played against a single NFL quality O-lineman and a thug criminal who should be in jail.

Harris is good, but not as good as Mayo and Bart Scott is over the hill. I wouldn't trade our front 7 for theirs. Not even close.

Me too. I was calling for the Patriots to target Nicks in free agency. Frankly, I'd still love to see that, because it doesn't look as if the Patriots and Mankins are going to be able to make nice any time soon.

Solder
Nicks
Cannon
Vollmer

That would be a ridiculous amount of beef surrounding the center.

Agree, just threw out the first few teams that came to mind. ;)

We got a TE, Lee Smith.

I know, I was just adding on in support of the stupidity of the original post.
