Friday Beer Run: NE-Indy exclusive
Cold, Hard Football Facts for November 2, 2007

With all the hype surrounding the Patriots-Colts game, we separate it from our normal Friday Beer Run of predictions.

http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles/11_1807_Friday_Beer_Run:_NE-Indy_exclusive.html

The Patriots boast the lone mismatch: their No. 2 offensive line will square off against Indy's No. 24 defensive front. Indy's defense ranks just 28th in third-down percentage, allowing opponents to convert 46.2 percent of their attempts. That's bad news against an offensive juggernaut that's No. 1 in offensive efficiency, as measured by our Scoreability Index, No. 1 in Passing Yards Per Attempt, No. 1 in our Big Play Index and No. 3 in third-down conversion success (48.8 percent).

The score: New England 38, Indianapolis 34

Can somebody unpack this item into more easily understandable terms or is it just me who remains baffled by what these numbers mean?

What's so confusing about it?

Re: The "Facts" Are In ........

The all important Hog ratings et. al. are explained in detail on the site

who cares? the two categories lacking from the site include

BB's PO Level, and the PatsPlayers PO Level...

Seriously, i guess without spygate the pats would win 38-34...WITH IT?

its a blowout

It's a blowout only if wide receiver Marvin Harrison and left tackle Tony Ugoh don't play.
