Abdullah has improved in that area year on year. He also has the reputation as one of the smartest guys out there football wise. BB will like that.
DL Bench Presses. Of note:
Mario Edwards - 32
Jordan Phillips - 28
Marcus Hardison - 27
Malcolm Brown - 26
Danielle Hunter - 25
Odighizuwa - 35
Armstead - 24
Still waiting for other results like Goldman.
FSU runs a pretty sophisticated passing attack. I wouldn't mind a Wr with Supple 3 or early 4th. Greene, Lockett and McBride could be decent candidatesWR is a little far down on our list of priorities, but:
FSU WR Rashad Greene - 4.53/40, 1.53 & 1.62 10-yard split, 36.5 VJ, 10'2" BJ
Pretty good explosion numbers, and he's rumored to be very smart and runs very good routes. Unfortunately I can't find any 3 cone or short shuttle numbers yet.
Backs
Gurley
Dyer
Johnson
Wide outs
Coates
DGB
McBride
Happy with any of those 6
Before you criticize me for the DGB I don't care about how he tests in shorts he is a Dez Bryant clone.
Same hands height smooth strider and makes contested catches over guys and while being hit.
If he doesn't care about football if a coach and QB like ours can unlock a animal or light a fire he could be the best wide out In the draft.
Who here wouldn't of felt better about a DGB in a goal line set this year?
Defensive lineman Marcus Hardison suffered a minor knee injury during the Senior Bowl which has hampered his training. As a result Hardison will not participate in the combine and will workout for teams during the ASU pro-day.
For all the David Johnson love, compare:
- 2015 David Johnson: 6' 0 1/2" 224#; 4.50 40, 1.57 10-split, 4.27 SS, 6.82 3C; 41.5" VJ, 10'7" BJ
- 2014 Tyler Gaffney: 5' 11 1/2" 220#; 4.49 40, 1.51 10-split, 4.18 SS, 6.80 3C; 36.5" BJ, 9.8" BJ
Johnson seems a bit more explosive based on his VJ, but Gaffney may be more agile. He rushed for 1700 yards in the Pac 10 his Senior Season and has excellent receiving skills.
More RB 3C and SS times up:
- Ameer Abdullah: 3.95 SS, 6.79 3C
- Jay Ajayi: 4.10 SS, 7.10 3C
- Buck Allen: 4.28 SS, 6.96 3C
- Melvin Gordon: 4.07 SS, 7.04 3C
- David Johnson: 4.27 SS, 6.82 3C
- TJ Yeldon: 4.22 SS, 7.19 3C
