Just another way for fans to express their love and appreciation...
Dear Nescott, I heard a rumor that the only reason they're charging the $49 is to cover Ben R's deductible.
And we're supposed to be the "cheapskate" organization.
To paraphrase Jason Robards from the film "Parenthood" when the Rooney's find a nickel they huddle together and bury it like squirells.
I dont think the steelers think they will win another superbowl for a while so they are trying to make the most of this one.
Save Ten with Ben
The $49 charge is the retail price. It's only $39 if you agree to a motorcycle ride with Ben.
What's the big deal? Pittsburgh already held their victory parade in February.
This is a rock concert with a championship theme. Concerts are held at Gillette all the time and no one complains. Why is it money-grubbing just when another team does it?
If the gate funds went to some charity that would be ok......
You all missed the funniest part.
The money's going to Belichick's buddy.
"Youse guys wanna celebration, you use my boy". *Godfather voice*
This doesn't seem to be an issue on the Steeler board.
Yep, I think some folks here are falling hard for the marketing angle. It's not an "SB Celebration," it's a Bon Jovi concert.
Exactly... in fact one of these Bon Jovi concerts was scheduled for Gillette a couple of summers ago with the Patriots included in the billing but was cancelled at the last minute due to a conflict...
werd to that
charging money seems a bit weak
Dude...it's a Bon Jovi concert... just one stop on their summer tour. They're playing at Gillette on July 27th. They're capitalizing on the SB theme to sell more tickets in Pitt.
I read that Bon Jovi got Belichick his own drum set when he toured Europe with them as a road companion. They must have been tired of him banging away on the band's drum set.... :singing:
