Arrive in Providence Friday night. Take the T to Boston for the day Saturday. Take T to Gillette Sunday for the game. T back to hotel.
Hotel must be nice, close to T.
What hotel, in what city can you recommend?

No, stay in Providence. If you're flying in there, its a waste of your time to drive all the way up to Boston for a night. There is plenty of good night life in Providence, good restaurants at Federal Hill and elsewhere. If you are only gonna be there a night or two, there is plenty to do.Stay in Boston
I was going to say "Hotel Commonwealth" but I doubt they have rooms for that budget. I think your best bet is to hit Orbitz and/or Priceline and, once you've found some candidates in your range, check to see how close to the T they are.
FWIW, I had no idea the T ran between Providence/Boston/Gillette so I'm zero help to you there.
you're likely to get a cheaper rate out of state, so I would suggest Providence as well. good luck.

or if you're lazy, stick around in Providence.....there are just as many quality restaurants as Boston.
