I'm not sure I understand why all of this started or what brought it up again, but I am horrified every time a national outlet speaks to "Patriot Insider" Ben Volin. I don't expect the reporters who cover the team to be homers. But to have someone who HATES the team speak for Patriots Nation is mortifying.

Welp there goes the decisive court win, now its because Judge Berman is a "pats fan" and not just a Judge doing his job and seeing through the NFL's crap... you'd think our owner would be a bit more cautious and understand how being seen with the Judge 4 days after the ruling would be perceived.

What else is new? I actually enjoyed listening to whatever generic AM sports station we have here in NC, with their guest talking about the great Brady smackdown of goodell.

The vice sounds familiar. could it be...Dan, his name's Dan, and He's saying all these complimentary things about the Patriots. It's CHB, the Shank Shaughnessy. He's even complimenting Kraft, ewho we know he's hated for twenty years.

So much fun to hear him squirm. The announcer even gave him a cupcake by asking him where he ranks goodell in the Boston sports Villains and shank is so depressed he even neglects to mention Harry Frazee, originator of his "curse of the Bambino" from his book that might still be in print.

Let's face it, who of the globe writers would you recommend to someone for a boston view point? They are hired to spread the misery, and more so when we are actually winning. it's the dour new englander thing, I guess.

Berman verbally decimated the NFL lawyers during the court minutes and then they doubled down and refused to move one inch towards settlement.

Now they are appealing and planting insinuations that the Judge in the same district as the appeal will be heard was crooked.

Yes, he is a member of management. That's why he stayed out of a labor/management situation.

I do not disagree that Kraft is one of the 32 NFL owners and that the owners as a class were aligned against Brady and the union on this issue. Unlike the other 31 owners, however, Kraft and the team that he owns had much to gain personally from a Brady victory.

The point being, of course, that I don't think pointing out that Kraft is a member of the class of owners aligned against Brady for purposes of the litigation is a particularly effective rebuttal to the conspiracy theories and other innuendo that this silly report has generated, and no doubt will continue to generate.

The NFL filed in that court first, so they could dictate the location of the hearing.

So of course they'd complain after. The League Office is really nothing but Jets, Colts and Ravens, isn't it?
