Six months ago, he was bouncing around at the bottom of NFL rosters, presumably unsure if he could continue to play this sport.

After all, he had come out early for the draft a few years early, not because he had received a high grade from the draft advisory board, but because he needed to support his family, immigrants who lived well below the poverty line. He lived with his parents when he was unemployed, waiting for an NFL team to call. To give him one shot.

Disaster struck at the top of the depth chart. Sealver Siliga got his one shot. His one opportunity. And he ran with it. He played a fantastic two-gap, didn't come off the field much, and was pretty much immovable. The best young run stopper the Pats have found in quite some time. Fits the mold of a 3rd DT, and if he does what he did this season again, he'll be playing on a second contract somewhere soon.

Siliga will never be an all star. But in a span of 10 games, he made his lifelong aspirations and dreams, something he's been working towards since he was a teenager, a reality. That is awesome and I couldn't be happier for him.
