I think that in the end Mallet will end up being the best QB in this draft. He has been through a couple of schools and several different offensive coordinators, so he has been erratic at times. But give him a good NFL QB coach and he will be very good.
I almost certain (especially if they go to a 18 game schedule) that the Pats will draft a QB this year (if for nothing else to save Brady's arm during camp). What would be interesting to see is how high they draft one. I think that alot of people are going to fall in love with Kaerpernick and he is going to go before the end of the third round (I'm ASSuMing that the Pats won't be drafting a QB before the 4th round). Stanzi would be interesting (and he plays for a BB guy), ditto for McElroy...
Jeff Van Camp is a guy who I've recently discovered and haven't had the opportunity to watch many Florida Atlantic games. I've scoured the internet, and all I could find out is his dad was a wrestler named Lord Humongous and he did split time with current Titans starter Rusty Smith in 2009. Any FAU fans here care to add to that?
If no CBA is signed before the draft, there won't be any free agency for teams to use to fill-out/upgrade their rosters for 2011 beforehand. This seems to have turned out to be a fairly weak QB class. I'm wondering if maybe those teams who apparently need a QB look at the guy they have and decide to upgrade the team around him with their early picks instead of grabbing at one of these guys.
