Something I found on FESPN, but worth sharing:

Since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Patriots have a total of 17 playoff wins.

(A) How many teams have more playoff wins in that same time frame?
(B) Which teams?

Without looking up the answer I'll say...

3 teams

49ers
Cowboys
Steelers

I would say the Cowboys, Steelers, and 49ers definitely do. I would also think the Dolphins do, though it's probably close.

Hell, maybe even the Raiders.

I'm gonna guess Boys and Niners. Steelers and Phins had most of their SB's back when their were fewer playoff rounds, didn't they?

We have a winner!

Interestingly enough, NE has 17, the LOLphins have 18, Joakland has 19, and the woeful 4-12ers have 20. (Pittsburgh has 23 and Dallas 26.)

Washington is tied with 17, while Minnesota (16), the Donkeys (15), and the St. Louis Lambs (15) could theoretically surpass the Pats this season.

after making my guess, i read through the thread to find the answer. i'm surprised to see Oakland there.

On an interesting note, the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since the 1996 season.

Woohoo! I wasn't completely sure about Oakland, but they had a longer run of success than the Patriots did, even if they weren't ever quite as good as we've been this decade (IMO).

Do you have the link to the original article you're citing?

Sorry . . . I misread the page.

They have 17 playoff victories NOT counting Super Bowls.

The source gives separate totals for playoff victories and Super Bowl records.

I'll have to recalculate things later. :)

Oh, I get it. I looked at the Steelers and Cowboys #'s and they didn't add up either. Thanks for clearing that up. I was scrathing my head for a minute there.

OK . . . doing some addition, the new numbers are:

Dallas Cowgirls 31
Pittsburgh Squealers 28
SF 4-12ers 25
Jokeland Raiders 22
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 20
Washington Deadskins 20
Miami LOLphins 20
Denver Donkeys 17
St. Louis Lambs 16
Minnesota Viqueens 16

Again, no one else can catch the Pats this year.
