Re: PBurgess back on PSquad

I am sure Belichek has been de-briefing Burgess for the past week now.

He probably had a few more questions that he did not get answered yet.

This move makes sense a couple of ways:

First, it adds a much-needed LB to the PS;
Second, it removes a less-needed DLman from the PS. 3/8 spots just for similarly-styled DLmen was at least 1 spot too many.

And I really, really hope that we don't have to still give the Murderers (allegedly) a 7th-rounder.

I recall reading that a Baltimore writer said that the trade was conditional on the fact that Burgess remain on the roster for a minimum number of days. If that's true then it sounds like the Pats get to keep the pick, as well as Burgess, by cutting him and re-signing him. A little bit of a roll of the dice by cutting him and somebody else might pick him up, but the risk was fairly low (a 7th round pick), and as it turns out the Pats get to keep that pick after getting a closer look and deciding he's worth keeping.

If that's true, then good news all around.
