Per Reiss. Fills the spot left when Stanback was promoted.

A rookie, he was on the Patriots' practice squad from September 6 to September 30.

This is probably not a great sign that they are loading up on the D. Does that mean that they need players in practice as Warren and Green are out?? The Pats REALLY need Warren for teh Jets..THAT is really key.

I'd hardly call the Grady pickup as , "loading up on the D".

Adding Grady has nothing to do about injuries on the defensive

line. He was on their initial 8 man practice squad. Then he was

cut to add Prescot Burgess. When they had room again, they

re-signed him.

Just further commitment to developing a four man line rotation.

Adam Kilgore of the Globe disagrees
The Patriots announced the signed defensive lineman Adrian Grady to their practice squad. The move helps provide some emergency depth on the line with both Jarvis Green and Ty Warren -- neither of whom played Sunday -- battling injuries. Rookie Ron Brace, who was active Sunday, was limited with an injury in practice last week.
