Pats offense stats without Welker

Not to minimize Welker's terrible loss but the 2 game sample was also Weeks 2 & 3 when Brady was still feeling his way back and when Edelman had a lot less experience.

It's a huge loss - but it's silly to use numbers from Weeks 2 and 3 to try to quantify it.

Completely agree. Our offense has evolved so much from what it was in weeks 2 and 3. Brady has got a lot more comfortable since then as well. Although the loss of Welker is huge, you cannot really use the numbers from weeks 2 and 3

Pats need to get some power running going. The good news is that between Taylor, Lomo, and Morris, I think they can do it. The Welker loss hurts, but if everyone steps up and they bring some hard and consistent running, they can do well.

Basically the OL is going to need to play lights out.

These stats are kinda skewed. Edelman averages over 9 yrd a catch when replacing Welker. Not comparing the two but throwing this out there. I can guarantee on thing, the Ravens won't take him lightly.

We averaged 23 points per game in Welker's first 3 starts.
In his two games in between that we didn't start welker, we averaged 17.5 points per game. Although, that includes the 9 pointer vs the NJY. We did put up 26 vs Atlanta.

But, we put up as many yards vs the NJY without Welker as we did WITH Welker vs Denver and Baltimore. In fact, we played poorly vs Buffalo and put up similar yards and similar ppg with welker in the first 56 minutes of that game as we did without him in the other two games.
