The Colts released their first injury report of the week Wednesday,
with 10 players listed as not participating in practice. They were:

Middle linebacker Gary Brackett (hip), defensive tackle Raheem Brock
(neck), tight end Dallas Clark (concussion), offensive tackle Dan
Federkeil (concussion), defensive end Dwight Freeney (team decision),
safety Matt Giordano (hamstring), wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez
(hand), cornerback Marlin Jackson (foot), offensive guard Ryan Lilja
(team decision) and offensive tackle Tony Ugoh (neck).

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison (knee), linebacker Rocky Boiman
(shoulder), linebacker Tyjuan Hagler (neck) and linebacker Freddy
Keiaho (ear) were listed as participating on a limited basis.

not looking good for a game against the chargers....but the chragers suck so it might be even.

Chargers can't play consistently. You never know though, the Chargers just might overwhelm the Colts. Not likely, but it's possible.

yes...imagine....and all the experts said the colts are a more physical team then the pats

Freddy Keiaho has an injured.....ear?

Doesn't matter-they can start Sorge at QB, and Norvo the Clown will somehow find a way to lose.

Thats what happens when smaller players run into larger ones as hard as they can. The Colts were hitting hard and they paid the price. GOOD

the best one is:

dallas clark -concussion

hmmm, maybe Rodney did that

by the way, the Chargers are a good team coming off a bad home loss. look for indy to lose again.

Yeah, I could see it happening.

All those people who were talking about how awesome it was that the Colts had a small, fast defense should now be realizing why other teams don't jump on that wagon. The Vikings tried the same strategy in the mid-late 90s (John Randle/Robert Griffith era) and they experienced the same problems. The defense would be good for the first few weeks, then would wear down, and, while the injuries always hit them hard, what hit them harder was that even the guys who were playing wore down a lot as the season progressed. By the time playoffs rolled around, their fast, small defense was slow, small, and unable to hit hard.

Also, Re; Keiaho's injury - inner ear injuries can mess up your equilibrium very badly. There's really no choice but to sit if it's an inner ear thing.

I didn't even realize Dallas Clark played. Thanks Rodney!

Reminds me of the Rams after their 2001 regular season game vs. the Pats. That's one banged up team. Now they have to go on the road against a Chargers team looking to reassert itself on the ground after playing an awful game in Minnesota. Merriman has been openly griping about having the reigns pulled back on his blitzes, but this might be the week to let him loose against LT Charlie Johnson if Ugoh isn't ready again; Against the poor pass-protecting OL of Oakland, he was let loose and had a good game.

Regards,
Chris

Is there a chance that Clark got his concussion early last week, and that had a lot to do with why he was so ineffective all game? If so, that's a big deal, since Clark has had a few before this one. As much as I don't like the Colts, I don't want to see a guy's career get derailed by concussions, and that's where it looks like his is headed.

Amen, hate to see head/brain injuries.

This is certainly the defending-champion stretch of the schedule for Indy. The Chargers are a mess, but still a very dangerous mess. Shawne Merriman without your left tackle and Antonio Gates without half your linebacking corps isn't pretty to contemplate.

Dallas Clark got a concussion in the Pats game?
