Why in the world would you cut Tim Wright? Great catch rate, solid red zone threat and cost-controlled rookie contract. Makes no sense.

For a roster spot on offense and to get better?

Baltimore put 5 CBs on IR last season and it took everything NE had to beat them. The Pats offense can be better.

One of the all time great Patriots was cut because it saved $8M. Cutting Amendola would save a fraction of that. You keep throwing around the term sunk cost, but I don't think you know what it means. If you did, you wouldn't keep bringing up the money that he already got over the past two years, because it's a sunk cost and therefore irrelevant going forward.

The guy was hurt. Oh well. All that matters now is if you can replace his production this year for less than $2M. If you think you can, you go ahead and cut him. If not, you keep him and reevaluate next year.
I brought up the money he made in the past once so don't embellish things. If you know so much about the cap you would understand that the remaining $3.6M of his $6M bonus will hit the cap no matter what. So you say $2M and that is BS and you know it, it costs $4.5M in new cap money to keep Amendola in 2015. So cutting Amendola would save $4.5M in cap spending. They designate him a 6/1 cut, we take $1.2M against the cap this year and $2.4M against the cap next year in dead money. The same $2.4M we will be taking next year unless of course your plan is to pay Amendola $5.5M for his services in 2016. If that is the case I really cannot take you seriously and am basically done discussing this with you.

I'm done with the foolishness on this board trying to manipulate the actual amounts it costs for a player in order to justify their flawed view of a player. Amendola had 200 measly receiving yards most which came in meaningless situations during the season, that production could be replaced with a practice squad player. You can like Amendola as a player and person, appreciate his playoff efforts even if they were more of a correlation than an actual cause but you cannot sit here and suggest that 8 seasons into his nfl career he is anything more than a number #4 or #5 WR on any decent NFL team. He is not worth more than $1M a season he is essentially Austin Collie an often injured and unreliable slot WR. If you see it any other way please explain to me anything Amendola has done to suggest he is more than that.

I talk in terms of actuality, I look at things how they are for all players I don't manipulate the situation for certain players like you are here. If you go back to your posts from last year the same exact argument I am making for cutting Amendola is the same one you were making last season with Wilfork's bonus cap hit being sunk. Take a look for yourself and then tell me why you are taking a different view for one of the only NFL WRs in the past 25 years to not average 10 yards or more per catch on their career.

Last year everyone hung their hat on the Bills game this year it's the Ravens game, is there any other player in the NFL that only has to show up 2-3 times per season and is considered valuable? Just wondering..

Cutting Amendola only saves a little over a million and I doubt that they are going to be bringing in Hartline for that.
It saves $4.5M this year if you do it with a 6/1 designation.

Funny, you are never able to point out that stupidity though. Its some made up thing from the demons in your head and the little voices you hear repeating over and over danny amendole, danny amendola, danny amendola.

You cant even post any facts on anything that has to do with him except strawman ********.
You talk so much **** behind a keyboard. I mean nothing screams loser like an Internet tough guy. You wanted to jump into the conversation just like Ivan don't get all upset because you got no legitimate argument for your opinion and just think Amendola is cute so you want to pay him whatever because you have a crush on him. You are like a 12 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert for a football player you never even met, spending not just hours, not days, not even just months but ****ing years defending a half ass pedestrian WR who if anything has been detrimental to the team over all because he is one of the primary reasons this team is handcuffed by the cap and now losing far more valuable players.

I keep talking to you hoping one day the reality of the Player you defend so religiously will set in but I'm starting to realize you have unconditional love for Amendola like the fat girls standing in line waiting to visit their man at the local prison.

Just because the defense played subpar the first 3 quarters doesn't mean the Pats offense did.

I seem to remember them throwing for about 400 yards and 4 TD against them. If that game showed anything its the Pats need to try to upgrade the G positions to help their between the tackles running game.

That's exactly what he is doing. No one on this board is raving about Amendola and everyone agrees he needs to restructure to stay, Brady 6 however needs a straw man so he can continue to rant and rave about a player he has been obsessed with since he arrived here. He has now invoked Amendola in about 6-7 new threads about a variety of topics , and rather than just start an anti Amendola thread he feels he has to go into threads about Wilfork, Hartline, veteran cuts... Etc and wage his so called "jihad." Against Amendola. It simply never stops.
I have a jihad it just isn't against Amendola it's against posters like you who are irrational and base their opinions on emotion and then take shots at other posters if they don't agree. Truth is Ivan if you act like you act on this board in real life you probably would have lived past high school. Let me tell you something for fact if you and I were standing face to face and I told you not to talk to me I can all but guarantee that you'd make sure you listened. So put your little underdog loving little slot WR obsessed tail between your legs and go back to looking at Internet porn.

On that note I'm done talking about Amendola for good because I realized only the posters I don't want to engage with talk about Amendola. I will come back and post smiley faces in a few days when Belichick cuts his sorry ass and listen to you cry like you did when Welker got the boot.

seems like this will happen.

any other white guys out there we can bring in?
I wonder if there's any chance Chargers would deal Woody Woodhead with Oliver playing well for them. Anyone know their cap situation?

Rather have Woodhead than Welker, Amendola or Hartline. He is the player we should have kept along with Edelman 2 years ago.

I'm not convinced he wanted to comeback with Vereen getting more playing time.

Didn't you just say you were done taking about Amendola?

Which you are the textbook version of.

The Chargers have Woodhead on a good deal and Matthews is a free agent, no way they deal Woodhead.

Lmao I agree! I really don't give a **** man, honestly I just don't understand the lust for this guy. I like to see people get recognition based on merit, like Edelman he had to earn it, I feel like this guy just gets recognition and pimped up for the smallest little thing because he was signed to replace Welker and admitting he was a failure would suck.

I personally think it would be a bad idea but teams make bad trades.

Again? Who lusts for this guy anywhere near what he is making? He made some plays that really helped out the team. Big phucking whoop.

WTF? This is like Ground Hog Day
