Broncos are being touted as best offense ever. Coaching is even hinting dumping Decker for cheaper Sanders will actually make them more explosive due to the blazing speed Sanders brings. But our guys actually compare in terms of raw talent. EASY!

Demaryius Thomas- yes he is a top 5 WR in the NFL with proven production. But in terms of raw talent Dobson is as good. Dobson is as fast and athletic and maybe a little faster than Thomas and more sudden in and out of breaks. Both about 6'3 but Thomas is a 230 lb monster. And more proven..... edge broncos slightly due to proven production.

Emanuel Sanders blazing speed that defenses must account for. Never broke out in past like everybody thought he would. However he will have better chemistry with Manning and likely have a career year by far. Kenbrell Thompkins is nearly as and taller and longer and very fast in breaks. He also works very hard to improve his hands and both were known for shaky hands. However Kenbrell was a nervous rookie thrown on the front line......EDGE even, both are legit talents only limited by how many balls thrown their way.

Welker is their slot and maybe best ever. However he is 33 with 3 concussions. Edelman is in his prime and capable of 100 catches 900-1000 yards again. Only limited by other players seeing throws as well..EDGE patriots,Edelman may not be most talented slot WR but is could be the best due to chemistry with Brady

TE Broncos have a very good TE with 4.6 speed at nearly 250 lbs. Patriots have the best TE in NFL history when he plays who is also an elite blocker. Julius Thomas may be a top 5 TE but Gronk is the best even when defenses game plan for him. EDGE patriots

RB, Broncos have Ball and a scatback Hillman under 200 lbs but could become a good receiving back. Vereen could break out as the best catching RB in the NFL as he continues to work very hard on his WR skills. He is even a deep threat out of the backfield and made WR type catches. If he plays the whole season he could catch 80 balls. Ridley has watched Vereen and wants to be a good WR as well and has worked on his WR skills..... Edge Patriots

Denver has some journeyman WRs and a very talented rookie after the top guys while patriots have Amendola and Lafell and Wright for 2TE sets. EDGE EVEN, I think Amendola could start in the slot if Edelman got injured and Lafell has some size and experience. While Wright has shown nice hands and ball skills.Would give patriots the edge but the rookie probably has the highest ceiling of that bunch

I'm not even rating OLines. If Broncos stay healthy they have a great Online while patriots have questions. I could see Bill having to trade for a significant guard once he gets to see his Online in action. And as the bucs found out teams don't give guards away cheap. It would take a round2 pick or a round 3 and 4 for a better guard. But if your trying to win a championship you have to allow Brady to throw. Let's see how the Online looks. But don't forget the broncos have a really good Dline so a strong competent Online is a necessity. We saw in the game tonight when a qb has no time to throw and Rodgers is mobile. But as for the ball handlers I think the patriots are as talented

Disagree with you dude. I think besides Gronk, Denver weapons are better than ours but luckily for us we have the better QB ;)

Also we have the better team.. more depth and not as many "shiny beads"....

This team has more "complimentary" players than does Denver...

I hope I am wrong but I have a feeling you will be rethinking That Dobson has just as much talent as Demaryius Thomas when he dose not crack the 500 yard mark this year.

Gronk #1
Edelman #2
Amendola #3
Vereen #4
I see them as Brady's top 4 opts I think LaFell. KT and Dobson will be fighting for the rest. I think when welker is on the field denvers 3rd and 4th opt is better then the pats but as long as they can keep Brady on his feet I think they can go toe to toe with anyone in the NFL and I see them as a top 3 scoring offense

I said upside Thomas has a slight edge. If Dobson hits his full potential, He would be close to Thomas

You would want 2 slot specialists on the field at the same time who don't make many catches beyond 8 yards

I think we're going to see a lot more of Edelman on the outside this year. I think he played over 50% from the outside last year, and it looked like they were showing more downfield looks with him in preseason. Amendola also made some catches last year deep down the field, and that was on a bum groin. I think you're over simplifying what you perceive these players to be.

Thats a big IF for Tom Brady staying on his feet.

Dobson is nowhere close to Thomas lol

To compare Aaron Dobson to Demaryius Thomas at this stage in their careers is ridiculous.

Peyton clearly has the better set of weapons. Tom brady would go for 6k yards with mannings arsenal lol. But overall we beat them due to a more balanced attack. Well that's if the O- Line holds smh

They have been in the league a while now, players ypc don't suddenly spike at 28 and 29 yrs. Edelman and Amendola are both good and calculating in the slot and short range catches. But neither have the speed/length/elite athleticism to be a consistent deep threat or make consistent tough catches at intermediate range in traffic. They will make them catches occasionally. Doesn't matter where you line Edelman up his talent is reading the defense and settling in for short catches and gain some xtra yards with shiftiness. You are overselling what they are. Watch their highlights and look at stats, they average 9-10 ypc.

Funny peeps are laughing at Dobson and saying he doesn't have talent to be close to Thomas if he blossoms to full potential but Edelman is a #1 WR. While Edelman is great at what he does, but he is far from a #1 complete WR. If they are to win the Superbowl, Dobson or Thompson must step up as the best WR. Edelman/Amendola as top experienced WRs did not work out so well in afccg against an injured defense. They are great at and I admire them what they do but they are not impact WRs defenses game plan to stop. Dobson has size/talent to step up as that type of player, you should be pulling for him. BTW he has all the tools to be almost as good as Thomas. He is 6'3 213 has 4.37 speed, sudden burst in his breaks and acrobatic athleticism. Why can't he be an 80 catch 1200 yard 15 ypc 10 TD WR.

THe OP of this thread should be laughed out of town for trying to compare Dobson to Thomas. Lol!

That is comical at best. Thomas is a total package at WR and a stud. Dobson is a fast guy who gets good separation and all, but has hands of stone. Him and Thompson were leading the league in drops last season before they both got hurt for several games. Dobson single handily ruined like 5 TD's last season for the Patriots in the first 6 games or so. I get it that he's a rookie, but to compare him to Thompson is a knee slapper. No one other than in NE even has Dobson on their radar as a threat or any type of guy to watch out for. Until Dobson at least has a 1,000 yard season, all of this hype that he gets from Patriot fans is not warranted.

Dobson and Thompson were 2 rookies from schools who didn't run anything close to NFL offenses. They were screamed at and forced to learn a very complicated system as rookies because the team didnt have a vertical or intermediate weapons with size or speed without gronk in the lineup, and its not like their college programs got them ready for the NFL. Dobsons drops were early on and they were longer catches and even a diving one hand attempt. Thomas and others don't always make them catches either. Its not like he kept dropping 7-8 yard catches. And even then he started making those catches after his early drops.

The more balls they catch in practice and games the better their hands will become as well as the more comfortable they feel in the offense the better their hands will become and they will also start making most of those tougher catches as well. If a WR has size speed athleticism and shows ability to get open consistently and make bigger plays, he can afford an OCCASIONAL drop because he will again get open on the next play and reach and snag it for a nice 15-20 yard catch or more. Terrell Owens was known for drops but he was still Elite because he always got open.Important thing is they get open for bigger plays and their hands are getting way better with experience.

Expectations for Dobson are rediculous and high. But he has shown the talent and skills to get open and make plays consistently. Compare his rookie season to Thomas and many top WRs and that was in just 12 games. Wait til Dobson and Kenbrell get in better sync with Brady. Not saying they are garunteed pro bowlers, but you can see they are leaps and bounds ahead of all bills busts at the WR position, WRs like Price,Tate and Jackson. And everybody knows Thomas is established as an elite WR while Kenbrell and Dobson are just entering Season 2. Everybody is just saying they showed the raw skill of the better WRs do. And you don't have to be Thomas to be a #1 WR, 80 catches 1200 yards and 10 TDs would be very nice
