...was traded for the same value as Matt Cassel (+ Vrabel) were.

Did he have a franchise tag on him that:

  • Guaranteed him many millions of dollars more for one season than he was worth?
  • Hamstrung the cap until he was moved?

That's a handsome man. Sign him as Brady's backup and we are talking about the all time best looking QB combo in NFL history. Ya know, if that kind of thing interests you.

And Giselle would suddenly discover her fellow models wanting to socialize with her, her husband, and her husband's coworker.

sd's needs look to be NT/RB

then to lesser degree OL

then CB

i suspect ILB as well

i'd say NT/RB head the list obviously

everyone seems to want best or mathews at rb, cody nt

Ah alright, judging by the topic title "SEA gets Whitehurst, Chargers have 6th pick in 2nd" I just assumed it was Whitehurst for their second rounder.

That makes a lot more sense. ;)

I thought the exact same thing! At that rate, I must be worth a 7th at least ;)

that's true, but we would not of had enough cap space to sign beasts Chris Baker and Joey Galloway early in FA

heindsight's 20/20 when those 2 were signed they were all the rage on this message board and what a great move it was to do it early so we got galloway who would stretch the field

My first thought when hearing this trade was maybe Bobby Grier has taken too big a share of the blame for the bad personnel moves of the Carroll/Grier regime.

San Deigo is an one gap penetrating 3-4. The Pats run a two gap, read and react 3-4. Their style of defense is almost as different from the Pats as many of the 4-3 teams in the league. Besides, the Chargers have different priorities than the Pats on defense like a NT.

Not all 3-4 teams are the same. Just because a team is a 3-4 team doesn't mean they are targetting the same type of players as the Pats.

so are you saying none of the LB's for the chargers would work for the pats?????

the difference has to do with the DL and more so the NT.......it means some different things for the LB's, but ability-wise, they are pretty interchangeable

and I would have taken olshansky in a heartbeat for what the cowboys paid for him.........he would have been a perfect replacement for seymour and a cost effective one, too
