Who's crazy -- Profootballtalk, the NFL, or me?
According to PFT,
"if a player is listed as "probable" on the Friday injury report and doesn't play, the team has violated the new injury policy"
http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
So a team is supposed to list someone on the injury list and, at the same time, guarantee that they are playing? How can you do that with anyone, let alone someone who is on the injury list? It's all right to say that "probable" means that there is "an extremely high likelihood" that they will play, but to say that they are guaranteed to play is absurd, it seems to me.
(1) Is that really the NFL's policy and it's nuts?
(2) Is Florio exaggerating for effect (wouldn't be the first time)?
(3) Have I missed something (wouldn't be the first time either)?
