I wonder if the Patriots ever wanted to bring Taylor in. Maybe would've fit in this new 4-3 front the Patriots have been using a lot.

Brady has been trying to get Taylor here for years.

Love the way that the Phins are tied with the Chaagiz for worst scoring % inside the 20.
I wonder what both teams have in common?

The young men on both the Chargers and Dolphins are too focused on sowing their oats with the the lovely ladies in their respective home cities. They'll never see football as a priority.

Thank God for the cold weather and ugly women of New England!

They were stupid enough to try running the ball in against a team that they were killing through the air?

I think Brady's been trying to get him OFF of division rivals more than he's been trying to get him here. He's sick of facing him ;)

A few points on this. First, San Diego DID run the ball in from inside the 10 (pretty sure...) earlier in the game, and they did have success running early in the game, so that's not quite the gaff you make it out to be.

Second, that's kind of the Pats MO through the years (maybe not last year, but historically), that they tighten up the pass defense in the red zone. Bend don't break.

Third, I believe Miami actually did try to pass it in a few times on 1st and goal. I know at least the fourth and 1 play was a pass covered by Dowling (and then followed by 99 yards Brady to Welker).

Sporano practices that fist pump daily in front of a big mirror.

The way the Patriots were struggling against the pass, those teams should have done nothing but throw the ball down around the goal line.

Taylor remembers the days when teams actually had padded practices. This is the new NFL Jason. Get used to it.

I believe Miami threw on 11 out of 14 Red Zone plays on Monday night, and Henne went 4-9 (granted with 2 TDs). I don't know any offense other than the Patriots that would throw every down in the red zone, and it's not like Henne was really tearing us up until late in the game. They went four consecutive possessions having to punt after the opening drive, and the only reason that was broken up was the interception that started them inside the 10.

Well he should have thrown 14 of 14.

We don't need him. That is, unless we're getting the Jason Taylor of 5 years ago, and not the one from 2011.

    No Jersey Selected

    Eff Jason Traytor to hell.

He should've been here last season, where the QB, HC & fans have always given him more respect
then he's ever been given by the J-E-S-T & their Neanderthal fandumb.

Instead, he inexplicably chooses the bright lights & big city of East Rutherford,
where they dump him after one season.

I hope that he & Soprano go 2-14, and that both are done thereafter.

I believe the combination of no OTAs this past off season and the reduction in the number of padded practices allowed each team per the new CBA this year will lead to an overall dropoff in the quality of play and fundamentally sound football this year. My guess is that the Dolphins are not the only team in the NFL who has suffered from bad practices thus far.
