Well, with all the talk aobut football kharma lately, BC might be in for a rough time.Mind-numbingly stupid... BC sure got back at their face by biting off that pesky nose...
What I don't understand is that his contract said he couldn't take an NFL job. He didn't. All he did was interview for one. Shouldn't they have waited until he took it?
Wow, Steve Logan, dude used to be me neighbor back when he coached ECU. He never really liked the town of Greenville, and towards the end of his tenure he had some really bad seasons, in fact ECU ended up breaking Duke's losing streak in college football under his coaching. I was wondering where he had ended up though I had no idea he was with BC now. Also BC student here. I'm saddened that Jags is gone, but I think the team will be in good hands with Steve Logan. If he got fired, there has to be more to this than has been let on.
REPORT: “IT’S OVER” FOR JAGODZINSKI
Posted by Mike Florio on January 5, 2009, 11:22 a.m. EST
Dan Patrick, who might or might not be transmogrifying into a college football reporter, reports that Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski is out, based on his decision to interview for the current head-coaching vacancy with the New York Jets.
On Sunday night, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that Jagodzinski had been threatened with termination if he went through with the interview.
Patrick, citing an unnamed source, had said that Jagodzinski would interview for the Jets job on Monday night and Tuesday, despite the threat of termination.
The next question becomes whether Jagodzinksi is entitled to the balance of his contract at Boston College.
Our guess is that, unless interviewing for the Jets job constitutes “cause” for firing him, the Eagles will be on the hook for the rest of the money.
The school likely will be reduced by Jagodzinski’s salary from his next coaching job. And if he gets the job in New York, he likely will make even more money.
Yes very weird.
He has not been fired as of yet though.

Channel 7 reporting tonight that Boston College has fired Jeff Jagodzinski for interviewing for the vacant Jets Head Coaching position.
This is unspeakably stupid. I'm dumbstruck, and I'm not even a BC fan. BC deserves everything that happens to them from this point on.
