Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Ravens beat the Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

He can't wait because he has to get the ball out. It's not a 50 yard bomb, where he's buying time to go deep downfield. It's a shorter "will throw" route where he has to depend upon the receiver dominating the DB in a one-on-one situation. Parker claims it was a miscommunication. In other words, Parker's claiming that he didn't realize that was the call.

Following up on this, go find the sideline footage of Jones on the sideline after that pick. "It's ****ing cover four!", and his continued anger after that, says a lot, both about that play and about Jones' overall level of frustration with what's going on.

He should be fishing in shallow waters. He can be a very successful QB in this league by dinking and dunking.
PatsFans - 2021 "Mac has to throw down field, defenses are choking the short stuff. The Patriots can't move the ball on offense."
PatsFans - 2022 "See above"

You remember lesson about balance? Lesson not just karate only. Lesson for whole life. Whole life have a balance."

That goes for football too.

And looking at the highlights, I miss not having a sledgehammer all-pro fullback like the Ravens have. We once had one, too. That’s when we successfully ran gap concepts.

At 6:11 of the video Matthew Judon gets pancaked on a second and short in the third quarter play. A middle linebacker (Mack Wilson?) is out of position, and it’s a big run by Justice Hill, the Ravens RB, a third-five yard run to near the goal line.

You should check it out.

Having a great FB cut blocking Matt Judon to oblivion, Barmore losing his battle, and J Bentley making a bad mistake to put him out of position creates a big run for the Ravens.
I must have problems. I put the video on half speed and have watched it numerous times.

This was NY Jets-type Rich Kotite-era bad defense.

Judon had trouble getting up from that.

You know the Ravens are stashing Ben Mason, a similar FB on their practice squad that we brought in before. Now we don’t think we need one. That’s probably a mistake.

Anyone else think a FB? I do.

So, do you think the Pats can't run the ball?
Check out what, someone OTHER than our guys make a good play, and someone may have made a mistake?
