listening to the sports talk show out here on 810AM in Kansas City, the host was talking about Herm Edwards strategy of having a conservative offense that helps and relys on its defense. He said "That works when you are talking about a great defense like the 2000 Ravens or 1985 Bears or 1986 Giants or 2003 Patriots...." I almost crashed the car. I really felt pride for what I always felt was an underated defense. Thats what always bothered me about the 2nd half of SB 38. If it wasnt for that defensive meltdown, that 2003 Patriots team would have been much more remembered as the great defensive team they were. They had 3 shutouts and dominated games right up until that 2nd half. anyway, it was great to hear a guy out here comparing them to those great defenses and I wanted to just report that to Patriots Nation.
