I understand the Patriots have been built on the "Next Man Up" philosophy for years now, but I don't think we've truly appreciated how seamless that went yesterday.
Punter goes down? - Gostkowski steps right in and hits 2 great punts
Holder for kicks not available? - Brady takes the snap as if he's the regular holder
Spikes out? -Jamie Collins steps up as the defensive player of the game
It's not just that the next man steps up. It's that the next man performs his job so smoothly and at least as well as the person being replaced. Incredible! What a privilege to be a fan of this team.
