Year 2 for me. This helps me leave behind the disappointing end to last season and gets me pumped for this next one. A nice DVD was included with some decent features including the 10 most important Patriots events ever as voted by the fans. They also announced that they were doing away with the transfer fee they had been charging to leave tickets to family members. I wish they'd lighten up on the parking....especially for pre-season games. I think I'd go to them then.

Just out of curiosity, how much is parking for a typical home Pats game?

The Gillette owned lots are $40 but some private ones are $50

So basically you have to take out a second mortgage to go watch a game?

I live in a suburb of Dallas and was given free tickets to see a Cowboys game (the only way I'd go see a Cowboys game). Luckily the tickets included parking because it was $75 to park outside of Cowboys Stadium. I wouldn't have gone in if I had to pay $75 for parking to use free tickets.

That's impossible. Everyone knows that no entity on earth charges more the cheapskate Krafts. You take that back...

You can take a train for next to nothing. I won't take it, but you can.

Seeing Patriot games in person is like getting a driver's license or having a cute girl not call the cops when you say hello: a privilege, not a right.

That's actually great news that they're doing away with the transfer fee. That's been a gripe of mine.

Train isnt really reliable. It has been known to arrive to the game late, sometimes well into the first quarter and also you cant tailgate if you take the train and tailgating is part of the whole experience.

I will agree that the getting rid of the transfer fee is a good thing to do, except now the waiting list is pretty much useless since current season ticket holders are more apt to transfer their tickets to a family member or friend rather than just giving them up.

I'd have to. I'm in college and pay my own rent. I'm pretty much the definition of "hemmorhaging money".

Don't forget the RV lot 10 & 11 get $125! However, the upside is that the tailgating is so good. Especially meeting the same folks who party responsively and respectfully. FYI... We met some real nice people who bussed up for the 10/4 Baltimore game. Too bad they beat it after the game which they lost.

I took the train to the 2007 AFCCG and missed the first few sets of downs before I got to my seat. Never again.

As the economy continues to be weak, maybe more people will just give up their tickets.

I'll pick you up on the way to the game and pay for parking. You can buy me a $7 beer.

That game-day train ride is a joke. You can walk faster than that thing goes, it takes forever, and it's a roll of the dice to get there on time. And the people working it are incompetent. One of the few times I took the train (never again) they couldn't open the damn door after it arrived and we had to wait eons for them to figure it out.

I have never taken it myself, but all I have heard is nightmare stories like yours. It would be nice if the MBTA would look at all these issues and try and resolve them because the train is the way that more and more people are getting to Gillette because they cannot afford to pay the price for parking.

It moves so slowly those last few miles it makes me want to scream. My dad takes it when going to games without me because he's so cheap, but I refuse those few times a year that I'm there.

    Disable Jersey

You're not kidding. Last time the guys ran out of tickets. I mean they hadn't physically printed enough. (Come on folks, do the maths ...) And how can it not be possible when the whole of the commuter rail network is practically empty to get a train ten miles on time?
