Wow, the article points out that if an NFL team runs for 180+ yards they will probably win. Thanks, I would have never guessed that.
By the way, the Jets ran for 152 yards Monday night against the Pats; how did that work out?
The cliche about needing to run X number of yards in order to win is probably a reversal of cause and effect. Too many of these analysts assume running well equates a better chance of winning, without considering the possibility that many times teams are running because they are winning.
Teams don't win because they are running; they run because they are winning.
