McDaniels Takes the Reins

Further evidence the student has ascended to teacher, McDaniels will don a Broncos hooded sweatshirt on the sidelines, homage to his former mentor, now his peer.

"As a matter of fact, I can't wait to see my hoodie," he said.

For some reason that one comment just made Mankini look like even more of a prick to me... I didn't think that was possible.

It sucks to see him go but I'm happy for him, unlike that fat rat.

If he does this, I will not say anything bad about his play calling again.

Will it continue to be his Patriot hoodie? I mean he had it custom embroidered with JM on it. I'd hate to see it go to waste.

maybe he is just joking to a question asked if he will wear a hoodie..

It should be a REQUIREMENT all BB's underlings wear hoodies from now on.

i saw a little of the press conf and he looked a lot more confident than i remember seeing mangini when he was introduced as the jets HC ,maybe just my feeling...

Rest assured if BB is making a statement about McDaniels in the fashion he has, success is going to follow him.

I'm looking forward to the master vs apprentice battles now. I'm hoping it will bring the best out of BB and force some wonderful innovation.

Might have been joking... we'll see next year whether he was serious about that or not.

Ha....can't wait to see Nolan in his suit and tie standing next to McDaniels in his hoodie.

Wish him the best.

So I guess Mangini's future is bright as well.

"For over a decade, I had the pleasure of working with Eric Mangini, who is an outstanding coach and an even finer individual. I will always appreciate Eric's contributions. I value our friendship and look forward to supporting Eric's commitment to youth football in the future. Eric worked his way from the most entry-level position to a position of great responsibility during several successful seasons. The opportunity Eric has now earned is truly an example of good things happening to a good, hard-working person and I wish him well."

When he said that everybody in this organization is going to be accountable to do their job, and that look, tells me that he gets it....I think he will be a good coach...
